I am blissfully bored this afternoon, as in my trial this afternoon was adjourned. This trial which concerns, quite possibly, the stupidest subject matter on the face of the planet, which, of course, implies the involvement of stupid lawyers, which is entirely deserving of a new post, so yeah...here I am.
I can't even get myself in the mindset of preparing for it, because every time I open the file, I think to myself, "I do not pay a mortgage in student loans every month to do this!." Subsequently, I close the file and do other things. Granted, many of these things are not billable.
For instance-- youtube.com.
I adore youtube.com for numerous reasons:
1.) I like the Oscars for only one reason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ItNXEUjJdk&feature=PlayList&p=7B0FED994F7BA789&index=29. Rather than watching the three hours of coverage, the interminable red carpet fashion preshow, and Joan and her fugly daughter after-show, I pop on youtube the day after and in 3 minutes and 14 seconds, I discover who croaked in 2007, packaged in a sappy soundtrack montage that gives me the sniffles.
2.) Which brings me to my next favorite reason--Montages. About every redeemable and not-so redeemable subject matter on the face of this planet (I kept this PG-13) created by people who seriously cannot possibly have time to live and for which I take sick pleasure in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfz2b9uqH6o; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFfF_2cxMfE&feature=PlayList&p=E6270DE848FD139C&index=9; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hquCf-sS2sU&feature=PlayList&p=7B0FED994F7BA789&index=0
3.) And for the benefit of us in the Midwest, Vienna Teng live on the East Coast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IkvZQUsZUg&feature=PlayList&p=7B0FED994F7BA789&index=19
4.) And where else can I find Tara Lipinski's LP from the 1994 Olympic Festival: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3TRi3SDGXI? No true Tara fan could live without it.
Makes you wonder what I did before the invention of youtube?
Hope your afternoon is more productive!
