Long time and no write--will try to update here one of these days. Lots and lots of stuff going on but not really.  In the meantime, I am playing a lot of tennis and not getting any better :)  But dang, I look hot in a tennis skirt if I say so myself!

last week in words better than I could do.

Well its that time again...I guess I should let everyone know where I am, and what I am up too.

I just recently moved to Fort Stewart Georgia...not that bad of a place...I think that I have been to the beach more than I have been at work...pretty cool....the fishing down here is up too par, the largest bass on post was 16.3 lbs....yes, 16 lbs. that is crazy.....there are so many things down here to hunt...pigs....and deer...enough to keep me busy on top of work....I did put in for an alligator permit....I don't know yet what I am going to do with it yet, but they say it tastes like chicken....I haven't found any hills here...there are just swamps, lakes, and rivers...more for me to explore...

Work is pretty cool...well...its still the beginning what more can I say....I am a fire support officer for an armor unit....that is tanks for all you civilian folk....the days still start nice and early...and I still work really late....that kind of drives me nuts....

I don't know the next time I am going to be home....maybe thanksgiving...the deer are pretty sorry looking here, so I would give anything to get another Wisconsin buck.

Not to brag or anything, but my little bro is the bestest EVER!  For the record, he is coming off a two-year haitus from the water and hasn't died yet! Now talk about an accomplishment!

Congrats to little Greggie on an awesome, awesome meet last weekend (or maybe two weekends now!).  And good luck swimming against North Dakota this weekend :) I will be in the crowd cheering ya one! 

On a swimming note, congrats also to Carly Schnee and little Linds Deuker for an awesome sectionals meet. They placed third and tenth in the 100 fly respectively.  And Carly finally went a 1:02!!!!  OH YEAH GIRLIE!!!!  Super-duper proud of ya! :)

Remember Fig and Newton? The two shrimp I purchased a few weeks ago in hopes of cleaning my algae-ridden fish tank?

They died.

Some things are not meant to live in this world (or in Gribbit's fish tank that is).

For the record, I have added two more family members this past week.

As you all know, I have had a bit of an algae problem in my fish tank AGAIN! (as in it is sooo green that I can't see through it anymore!). To remedy this problem, I bought Iggie last summer. Iggie, originally named for the infamous potato bug that inspired the Monday Morning Forward (MMF), was a little sucker fish. However, he croaked after a month.

My second attempt at fixing this problem was the purchase of Shirley the snail. After about a month, Shirley also kicked the bucket. In my defense, the pet shop owner said that snails don't do very well in small tanks-- course this was said AFTER I PURCHASED THE SNAIL! :)

In a last ditch attempt to save the other fish this past week (see Jim I am not a totally bitter angst-ridden woman!), I purchased not one, but TWO, ghost shrimp by the names of Fig and Newton (pretty darn cute, huh?!). I would post a picture, but they don't get the name "ghost shrimp" for nothing. Anyway, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY FIG AND NEWTON!!
